This assembly includes two parts made of Téfabloc:
Flap
The function of the flap is to avoid excess pressure inside the vehicle when closing doors or in the case of airbag deployment. It must however prevent intake of outside air into the passenger compartment.
To achieve this requirement a Téfabloc grade has been specifically developed that has very good elastic memory.
Seal
The body seal is injected with a 15 Shore A hardness Téfabloc. This low hardness makes it easy to compress whilst having limited mechanical effect on the clips.
In both cases, the high fluidity of these grades insures :
perfect filling
a very low level of residual mechanical stress.
Made
of :
For the most demanding applications: long term UV
exposure, mechanical stress, flame retarding, and aggressive environmental
conditions.
The range also includes standard formulations
and food contact grades.
